What are some common areas treated?

How long will it take for the treatment to take effect?
Most anti-wrinkle injections take anywhere from three to five days to begin to take effect and peak at approximately two weeks. We always encourage patients to return for a review 2 weeks post treatment so that our medical team can confirm the effect is what is desired, and to determine the correct dose for future treatments.
Patients will see a gradual return of gradual movement to these muscles from around 6 weeks post-treatment. It is common for many patients to be ready for re-treatment 3 months post-treatment, however it can be much longer lasting in others.
What are the potential side effects?
Wrinkle reduction is a medical procedure with side effects. While rare with an experienced healthcare professional, it is important to know that side effects are possible. Bruising is the most common side effect, and this can be present for up to 2 weeks. It is important to plan your treatments ahead, especially if you are wanting to look fresh for a big event.

How does PRP work?
PRP is a treatment which uses a portion of a patient’s blood that contains a high concentration of platelets within a small volume of plasma. It works by delivering powerful platelet-released growth factors that stimulate and improve blood supply to the injured area, and the nutrients needed for cells to regenerate the damaged tissue. PRP can be injected into the skin and around the hairline using syringes to target specific areas, or micro-needled into the skin to create an all over healthy glow.
What is PRP with Skin Needling
Our PRP with skin needling uses a micro needling device to penetrate the patient's skin and deliver PRP to the desired area. Patients who have PRP with skin needling will see an increase in collagen production, tightening of pores, better complexion and overall tone and texture of the skin, reduction in acne scarring and blemishes, as well as a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. As part of this appointment type, patients can have PRP directly injected into the skin to target specific areas (such as scars, under the eyes and around the mouth), and also skin needled in the whole face, neck, or whole face and neck.
How long until I see results?
Patients will see improvements within 1 week after treatment, with fully rejuvenated skin appearing 4-6 weeks after treatment. For best results, it is recommended to have 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart, then 1 treatment every 6-12 months or whenever your skin is feeling dull.
Sometimes the skin may experience a 'purge' post-treatment, where dry and dead skin cells within the skin can come to the surface as a result of the process of PRP. You may experience some bruising and small breakouts in the initial week post-treatment. After this, your skin will become glowy and rejuvenated. Minor flaking, dryness and peeling may last several days.
How should you prepare for your PRP Treatment?
You should increase your water intake in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. We recommend drinking at least 8 glasses of water the day before the appointment. On the day of appointment, it is important that you eat something savoury and drink at least 3 glasses of fluids in the 3 hours prior to your appointment.
PRP treatment process
Here’s what to expect from a typical PRP treatment:
- When you arrive, a topical numbing solution is applied to the area which will be treated with PRP. This will help eliminate any discomfort during the treatment.
- A healthcare professional will draw a sample of your blood. (This is why drinking ample fluids in the days leading into your appointment and the day of your appointment is important.)
- The blood is placed into a specially designed centrifuge. This machine spins around very quickly, causing the blood components to separate. The separation process takes about 15 minutes.
- Your practitioner takes the separated plasma and prepares it for injection and/or skin needling into the affected area.
- Your practitioner will then inject and /or skin needle the PRP into the areas you would like treated.
What are the potential side effects of PRP?
PRP is autologous, which means it contains substances that come directly from your own body. This reduces the risks for an allergic reaction that can occur from injecting other medications, such as hyaluronic acid. However, there are risks from the injection itself, including:
+ infection,
+ nerve injuries,
+ pain at the injection site,
+ tissue damage.

Can lip fillers be dissolved and what is the process?
We offer lip enhancement procedures which can be reversed using an enzyme called Hyaluronidaise (Hyalase). Dissolving lip filler is a relatively quick procedure which is like getting lip filler in the first place. After applying a topical numbing gel, Hyalase is injected into the lip which works immediately to break down the filler and speed up the body’s natural metabolism of the lip filler. The lips will deflate instantly, with the filler continuing to break down over the next 24-48 hours. Like lip injections, swelling and bruising can be present, so it is good practice to wait 2 weeks before re-injecting the lips again.
Dissolving lips can be beneficial for a few reasons, including when:
+ Migration is present near the lip border and above the lip,

Fat Reduction Treatments
Dissolve unwanted fat permanently.
Fat dissolving treatments work to break down unwanted fat cells in areas of the body, which are gradually removed through the body’s lymphatic system. This non-surgical treatment is ideal for reducing small fat pockets without liposuction. In cosmetic practice, this treatment is common under the chin to help with reducing the appearance of a ‘double chin’ or ‘turkey neck’ which can result from ageing.
This treatment can help to provide a more defined lower face and can be combined with other cosmetic treatments to achieve your desired goals.
What to expect after a fat dissolving treatment?
In the first few days, swelling and tenderness will be present. After this settles, the area treated may feel numb and firm to touch. This is normal and will gradually improve over the coming weeks. Full treatment results will be seen 8 weeks post-treatment. These results will be permanent as the fat reduction treatment permanently dissolves the treated fat cells.
How many treatments will I need?
Generally, at least 2 sessions of fat dissolving injections are required to achieve the desired effect. Those with more fat, more fibrous fat, and those who want to achieve a more pronounced result will need more sessions.
Am I suitable for fat reduction treatments?
It is important to attend a fat reduction consultation prior to scheduling your treatment as people commonly mistaken excess skin for submental fat.
